Since its establishment in 2013 in the United Arab Emirates, Sahim Foundation adopted a clear and main framework and approach, whether in its policy or strategy, which is to serve the society and create initiatives that motivate individuals and the business sector to play a real active role with love and passion for addressing environmental, social and humanitarian issues.

Sahim works as one of many institutions working in the field of recycling and environmental preservation. However, it is distinguished from its counterparts in innovative and creative ways in offering initiatives for all sectors in society. In addition, it works within real partnerships in a stimulating environment that seeks to spread and strengthen the culture of corporate social responsibility to achieve integration and interdependence of the business chain and collective participation with other sectors, including governmental and semi-governmental institutions, non-profit institutions and associations of public interest to consolidate this principle and concept at all levels and categories in society.

To achieve this policy and strategy, several aspects were developed to be implemented through initiatives, activities and events, and devolving the performance indicators and measurement tools for the continuous development and improvement of the work system and achieving the goals and strategy aimed at serving the community. These aspects are represented in several areas and sectors, which are as follows:

First: The environmental field:

·Contributing to the vision of the UAE in the aspect of sustainable environment and integrated infrastructure to strive to protect the environment and achieve a balance between economic and social development

·Designing and implementing initiatives to preserve the environment.

·Creating effective partnerships with entities working in the field of environmental preservation.

·Participating municipal authorities in achieving their goals

Second: Spreading culture and knowledge:

·Cooperating with scientific research centers to help publish studies of common interest.

·Strengthening partnerships with educational institutions, especially the foundational phases, to enhance the concepts of environmental preservation and society service.

Third: Business sector:

·Contributing to achieve the UAE vision to build a knowledge economy based on innovation.

·Encouraging the business sector to engage in economic activities that support small and medium enterprises.

·Supporting emerging national projects and projects of productive families.

Fourth: Social and humanitarian work:

·Contributing to the realization of the UAE vision in maintaining a cohesive society that is proud of its identity and belonging.

·Participating entities serving humanitarian works to achieve their goals.

·Creating sustainable projects that serve the humanitarian work.

Fifth: Smart transformation of services:

·Creating smart technological spaces that facilitate the participation of individuals and institutions in addressing environmental and social issues.
